Homicide detective John Carver thought he'd seen it all. But when a young woman's body is discovered floating in the rooftop water tank at a skid-row hotel and a local new-age psychic claims to have seen that young woman moments before her death, he quickly realizes he's in unfamiliar territory. Soon he's thrust into an investigation that makes him question everything he believes in.

While not a genre I read often, I was hooked from start to finish with this book! The book is a quick read with a plot that is descriptive and packed with emotion. The characters are deep and genuine. Told from two POVs, I appreciated the complexities of Alicia and Carver's lives and the journey they took us on. I also thoroughly enjoyed the combination of horror, paranormal, and procedural crime. I look forward to more from this author!

I received an advance review copy for free am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Stephen Wechselblatt and RABT Books Tours and PR. I'm excited to be a part of this tour.
