Interview with Dorothy Rosby- Author of 'Tis the Season to Feel Inadequate

Interview with Dorothy Rosby- Author of 'Tis the Season to Feel Inadequate  What is the book about? ’Tis the Season to Feel Inadequate is a collection of humorous essays about the stress we put on ourselves in the name of celebrating. All of our holidays, special occasions and not-so special occasions can have this effect on us. I start with Christmas and work my way through the year because no holiday makes me feel more inadequate than Christmas—except maybe Nude Recreation Week.   What’s your writing process? I write a humor column and blog and it seems everything I write for either one of them follows a predictable pattern from “crap” to “less crappy” to “the deadline is here so I’m sending this whether it’s crap or not.” I have an idea I love. I’m excited, inspired and motivated — for about half an hour. But sooner or later everything degenerates into work. This is the moment where I could succumb to a serious case of writer’s block or a rousing game of computer solitaire.
