I am a huge fan of children's books and enjoy picking one up any time I'm having a rough day. The lessons contained in these books truly are life hacks and I find tremendous peace in reading these. I am also reminded of my own childhood and the very special relationships I had with both of my grandmothers. They were as different as they could be but made me feel special in their own ways based on their personalities.

Family Fun at the Lake is an adventurous tale about a child and the time she spends with her family and extended family. The book includes four-generations and shows that while each relationship is different, they are also very special. I am excited to see more books cover more generations as that is normal for a lot of families today. In the book, we see the different activities done with different members of the family. The writing and characters are fantastic. The pace is perfect and will engage your little one. The illustrations are gorgeous, I loved all the colors!

Overall, I highly recommend adding this one to your story time routine!

Katelyn Prendergast grew up in the Alberta prairies where she spent the majority of her tim

at the family lake cabin, which inspired her creative side for crafting, painting, and her great passion for writing. She still lives in the prairies with her husband and two spirited young daughters, where she is as comfortable bingeing a great show as she is spending the day outside with her family.
