Emotional intelligence influences our ability to build strong relationships and achieve our goals. We can enhance emotional intelligence by learning to better understand ourselves and others. This book demonstrates how powerful the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is in helping us better understand how personality influences our behavior and the results we produce.

I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Dr. Toomey and RABT Books Tours and PR. I'm excited to be a part of this tour.

love psychology, in fact, I love it so much my BA and MA are in Psychology. My Ph.D. would have been too if I'd realized Social Psychology is the area best suited for the type of research, I am interested in.

For most of my adult life people have insinuate or said to me, “you can't get a job with that degree.” However, I am living proof that you can as I have always been gainfully employed. I also maintain that life is psychology because it’s everywhere.

I was drawn to this book because I love the MBTI. When I worked at Iowa State, a colleague and I taught the first-year seminar. As part of the course, we had students take the Keirsey Temperament Inventory. This inventory is based on the MBTI but goes a little further by including sub types within the personality types. You may be wondering why this was part of the curriculum. Because the culture of the major is that their jobs start day 1 in this seminar, and we proceed to teach them the necessary skills to be successful in the workplace. These skills also helped the student get internships.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Emotional intelligence is a key component for anyone to be successful. After many decades of not being your true self, we’ve finally come to a place where we encourage people to bring their true selves to work. This is where I think emotional intelligence plays a big role. You must be able to read the room and adjust on the fly.

The writing style is easy to read and full of actions that lead to stronger relationships and achieve your goals. I highly recommend this book even if you are an emotional intelligence expert, I think you will still find nuggets of wisdom that you can incorporate into your daily life.

Overall Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
