What’s Not Lost by Valerie Taylor is the third book in this series. No surprise, I’ve once again jumped into a series with the final book. In this case, it worked out ok. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. I love Kassie’s character and will definitely be going back to read books one and two.

In this installment, Kassie is newly engaged when she learns her fiancé’s ex-girlfriend is pregnant. Luckily, she has work to distract her. When her husband passed away, she inherited his business. Disillusioned and brokenhearted, she leaves for Paris where she begins to heal while deciding her next step. While abroad she meets a Greek businessman who wants to help her. Her life begins to improve as she embraces the unknown and learns that the way you love is key.

This book is as entertaining as it is unique. The cast of supporting characters were an excellent compliment to Kassie. I absolutely loved Topher the cat whose ability to snuff out human shenanigans and secrets is uncanny. The description and witty banter had me fully immersed in this story and rooting for Kassie.

Six years retired, three years a published novelist, always a reader of good stories. Valerie Taylor was born and raised in Stamford, CT. She had a thirty-year career in the financial services industry as a marketer and writer. After her divorce, she spread her wings and relocated her career to Boston and then to Seattle. When she retired, she resettled in her home state to be near her two grown children and granddaughter. Taylor’s a member of the Westport Writer’s Workshop, the Independent Book Publisher’s Association, the CT Authors and Publishers Association, and the Women’s Fiction Writer’s Association. With the expected release in February 2023, What’s Not Lost is the final season in the What’s Not trilogy.
