July 17 - August 4, 2023 Virtual Book Tour
Ex-FBI profiler River Ryland still suffers from PTSD after a case went horribly wrong. Needing a fresh start, she moves to St. Louis to be near her ailing mother and opens a private investigation firm with her friend and former FBI partner, Tony St. Clair. They're soon approached by a grieving mother who wants them to find out what happened to her teenaged son, who disappeared four years ago. River knows there's almost no hope the boy is still alive, but his mother needs closure, and River and Tony need a case, no matter how cold it might be.
But as they follow the boy's trail, which gets more complicated at every turn, they find themselves in the path of a murderer determined to punish anyone who gets in his way. As River and Tony race to stop him before he kills again, an even more dangerous threat emerges, stirring up the past that haunts River and plotting an end to her future.

Cold Pursuit is the first in the Ryland & St. Clair series. In this book we meet Ex-FBI profiler River Ryland who suffers from PTSD after a case when horribly awry. Needing a fresh start, she moves to St. Louis to be her ailing mother and opens a private investigation firm with her former partner, Tony St. Clair.
They’re approached by a grieving mother who wants them to find out what happened to her teenage son who disappeared four years ago. While River knows it’s unlikely, he’s still alive, she understands his mother needs closure. As they follow the boy’s trail, complications impede progress, and they find themselves in the path of a murderer intent on punishing anyone who gets in their way. Haunted by her tormented past, will River be pulled back in or finally face her own demons?
The book was incredible. I was hooked from the first page and stayed up WAY too late reading this. It’s that good! The story is complex, fast-paced, and filled with tension. The reader is taken on a twisty ride while tracking down the truth. Every time I thought I’d figured it out, another tidbit was revealed. The mystery is compelling and realistic with a cast of eclectic characters that play well off one another.
This is my first book by this author and won’t be my last. I am anxiously awaiting book number 2! I can’t wait to go on another adventure with River and Tony. I’m also interested in seeing how these two develop as the series progresses.
