A Beautiful Story Jesus & St. Nick is the delightful story that explains the intersection of Jesus and St. Nick. What I love most about this book is that Sarah wrote this for her children so they would have a written history of their Christmas tradition.

Set on Christmas Eve, Mommy tells Blair and CJ that it’s time to go to bed. They ask to hear the story of Jesus and St. Nick. Jesus was born first, and the Christmas holiday was born. Mommy explains how St. Nick is just as important because he was a bishop in what we call Turkey today. He was a follower of Jesus, and thus found job in giving gifts to others, especially children. He also gave of his time and money to those who were less fortunate.

The illustrations are gorgeous, and I think this book is an excellent conversation starter for the meaning of the Christmas season. The book is well written, and the illustrations bring the story to life. The book is engaging the bible passages used resonated with me as I love giving gifts and showing those closest to me how much I love them.

I hope to read more from Sarah French. I love to see a series about her children and their other traditions!
