Wow! What an incredible
story that encourages fantastical thinking. In Squirrels in Antarctica, we meet
animals in the most unusual places. This book also rhymes that will tickle your
brain and leave your youngster imagining all kinds of usual places animals can
be found.
In this book, children
will see a skiing seal in Switzerland, a pufferfish piloting an airplane, a
sloth who runs a marathon (but isn’t ever done), and so much more! By the end
of the book, my imagination was sparked, and I began to think of other possibilities.
The illustrations are
gorgeous and bring the story alive. I thoroughly enjoyed the humans’ reactions
to seeing animals in unusual places. This book is also well written and will
bring a smile to your youngster’s face. The rhymes had me almost humming along
as I read this book. I highly recommend this book to all young readers and
would love to see this book on every bookshelf!
