It does deal with homelessness, but in a way that is appropriate for young children. There is nothing graphic and no bad language.   I received an advance review audiobook for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Mother Melania Salem and  iRead Book Tours . I'm excited to be a part of this tour. I was drawn to this book because I live in an urban area plagued by homelessness. My house is located on one of the main arteries through town complete with several bus stops.
